58th Annual Exhibition
High Cross Church, Knoll Road, Camberley
There was a ticket-only evening reception on Thursday 18th July 2019 at which the exhibition was officially opened by Councillior Robin Perry, Mayor of Surrey Heath Borough Council.
This year there was a raffle in aid of “The Brush with Art Group” at Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham. Our President, Graham Scandrett offered is painting of the Doges Palace in Venice as the prize which was won by Mr. Charles Barbor, who is currently President of Camberley Rotary Club.The raffle raised £235.82 for the charity.
The Mayor announced the winners of the Themed Competition, which has “Our Environment”, the Winsland Award for best watercolour/mixed media painting, in memory of Bill Winsland, the first Chairman of FCSA, and the Committee Prize donated by Lesey Kilner for best pastel.
The exhibition, with 188 paintings, was open to the public from 9:30 to 5:00, Friday 19th and Saturday 20th July 2019.
As always, this was an excellent opportunity for people to find out about the benefits of membership, to see what FCSA members do and to enjoy viewing and, we hope, buying original works of art at reasonable prices.
