56th Annual Exhibition
High Cross Church, Knoll Road, Camberley
There was a ticket-only evening reception on Thursday 13th July 2017 at which the exhibition was officially opened by the Mayor of Surrey Heath, Councillor Valerie White and award winners announced.
The exhibition, with some 200 paintings, was open to the public from 9:30 to 5:00, Friday 14th and Saturday 15th July 2017.
This is always an excellent opportunity for people to find out about the benefits of membership, to see what FCSA members do and to enjoy viewing and, we hope, buying original works of art at reasonable prices.
Prizes are sponsored to encourage particular types of work or in memory of past members.
Members are sometimes given the opportunity to compete by submitting paintings with a particular theme. For 2017 the optional competition theme was “Pride and Prejudice”.
Thanks go to our Judge for taking on the very difficult task of choosing the winners for four of the awards, Jean Bath, Head of Art at Hawley Place School.
