Sam Beare Hospice Exhibition at the Light Box
Many local artists both professional and amateur donated paintings to the “Inspiration for Life” Exhibition at the Light Box in Woking in aid of the Sam Beare Hospice. Several FCSA members contributed their paintings to this worthwhile cause. The exhibition has closed now and it is understood to have raised over £2,000 from sales. This will go to help provide services to patients and their families.

Congratulations to Evie Barton who won the Inspiration for Life Art Prize. Among the paintings being exhibited included some by FCSA members such as Sue Whitehead, Patti Dutton, Elaine Winter and Tracy Allen and congratulations to Leslie Kilner, our Treasurer, for winning the vote for the guests favourite painting.

Thanks to Patti Dutton for liaising with Sam Beare Hospice and encouraging members to participate. She has kindly provided a good photo of her acrylic and mixed media abstract. See below.

It was pleasing to learn that Sue Whitehead has sold her seaside painting of a little girl paddling at the Inspiration for Life Exhibition.

Any unsold paintings that have been donated to the Hospice will go to an art auction at the Hospice’s Weybridge Bookshop on 10th April to continue to generate funds.
Well done to those from Frimley & Camberley Society of Arts who participated in this local charity venture.
