FCSA CHRISTMAS PARTY 2024

Friday 6th December

The Christmas Party this year was held in the spacious new venue of Deepcut Community Centre. There were six tables of around six people and everyone enjoyed a sit down buffet of cold savoury and sweet dishes.

After enjoying our food Patti Dutton was the quiz master with a picture quiz of logos from famous drinks brands followed by a quiz on music number ones down the decades. It was pitched perfectly to ensure everyone got a good few answers correct while at the same time there was an outright winner.

It is a tradition for everyone to bring a wrapped present to be raffled in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell. After Marie Bunce gathered in the money for the raffle, Sue Whitehead, the Chairman, began by calling out the first winner. Being the first is always difficult to choose from the array of gifts laid out on the table, obviously it gets easier as time goes by and the choice diminishes.

Storm Darragh was beginning to blow up a hoolie as we parted into the blustery night wishing each other a very Merry Christmas.

Our next event will be a Zoom demonstration on 10th January and the Society will meet face-to-face again at the Community Centre on Friday 24th January 2025. In the meantime FCSA wishes every one who visits this page Season’s Greetings and a very Happy New Year.
