Prizes are sponsored to encourage
particular types of work or in memory of past members. Members are sometimes given the opportunity to compete by submitting paintings with a particular theme. For 2012 the optional competition theme was Celebration. This allows for various interpretations, in landscape, portraiture, still life or abstract work, not necessarily directly linked to the Jubilee. The The Winsland Award and themed competitions were judged by Kim Page, professional artist, pastor and teacher. |
